On February 6th we participated in the joint WAB regulars’ table for offshore wind energy of the WAB e.V. and the Department for International Trade (DIT) at the British Embassy in Berlin.

After the welcoming remarks, which emphasised the importance of German-British cooperation for the expansion of offshore wind energy in Europe, Karl John from DIT explained the context and figures relating to the Sector Deal, a partnership between the British government and industry to capitalise the ambitious expansion plans for offshore wind by 2030.
Equally exciting was the subsequent pitch session with a short presentation of six companies from the wind industry.
Our personal highlight, however, was the networking with the many interesting guests from diverse branches of the wind industry.
