Before joining Trident as the General Manager, Ralph worked 20 years in a variety of industries. He has successfully managed projects ranging from a high availability data centre for a securities bank to multi-million-euro engineering projects in the energy sector.

Ralph’s educational background from universities in Edinburgh and Bamberg (Germany) includes a M.A. in medieval archaeology, prehistory and historical building research. Ralph is also a certified scientific diver and he has worked as a marine archaeologist for several years prior to his successful career as a project manager.

Since 2007, Ralph holds and maintains the most important industry-recognized certification for project managers worldwide, the PMP (Project Management Professional) by the Project Management Institute, in addition to other certifications in PRINCE2 and ITIL.

Paul has extensive experience in the offshore sector as a marine geophysicist and currently as Chief Technical Officer at Wessex Archaeology and Director of Trident.

He is responsible for the technical and service teams within the Wessex Archaeology group of companies, providing leadership for the Geoservices, Research and IT, teams. The Geoservices team are now the market leaders in the sector, winning work across the UK and internationally.

He is a visiting lecturer for MSc in Marine Archaeology at Flinders University in Adelaide and formerly held the same role at the University of Southern Denmark in Esbjerg.

As Director of Trident and Wessex Archaeology Chief Financial Officer, Paul is responsible for the smooth running of the accounts team and our interaction with clients and suppliers. He ensures that we have the right financial systems in place to run and manage our organisation, and that all the financial requirements are met.

Paul qualified as an accountant back in 1988 with Deloitte and has held a number of senior roles in the property, farming, logistics and archaeology sectors since then.
